You always have the opportunity to choose your preferred GP when you attend for appointments. However, if you have an urgent need for care and your preferred GP is not available another GP will be able to assist you. All GPs work closely together to provide the highest quality care to all patients

Dr Tony Isaac - Practice Principal & Owner - Not Accepting New Patients

Tony is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has worked as a GP in Newcastle since 2006. Prior to entering General Practice he worked in the fields of Orthopaedics, Occupational Medicine and Nursing. General Practice is Tony's chosen specialty, giving him the opportunity to work closely with his patients, as a team, to assess and manage their overall health. Tony has a special interest in Travel Medicine and Tropical Diseases and has completed post-graduate training in this area. He also has a special interest in orthopedics, paediatrics and educating medical students and GP registrars.

Tony is available on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and some Saturdays. Tony is not currently accepting new patients.

  

 

Dr Ekta Nagarsekar

Ekta has worked as a doctor in a variety of fields across the Newcastle/Hunter area since 2013. Settling on General Practice as her speciality, she was awarded fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2019. Ekta has a particular interest in Women's Health and has completed additional certification in Reproductive and Sexual Health. She also enjoys all aspects of General Practice medicine, across the lifespan.

Ekta is available on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and some Saturdays. 

 

 

Dr Yin Lin

Yin completed her Medical Degree in Queensland in 2015. She worked in the hospital system in Queensland before moving to Newcastle to complete speciality training in General Practice. Yin was awarded Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2020. She has also completed additional certification in Child Health, Reproductive and Sexual Health, General Dermatology and Palliative Care. Yin is fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese (Hokkien), in addition to English, and she values the opportunity to provide care that incorporates people's physical, psychological, cultural and social needs. 

Yin is available Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and some Saturdays. 

 

 

Dr Catherine Lau

Catherine completed her medical degree in 2011 at the University of Newcastle. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a proud Novocastrian. She has a desire to give back to the community through the provision of evidence-based healthcare in a safe, judgement-free space. Catherine has particular interest in mental health, women's and children's health, orthopaedics and sports medicine and travel medicine. She enjoys journeying alongside patients as they navigate the various stages and challenges in their lives. 

Cat is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and some Saturdays. 

 

 

Dr Karyn Forbes - Not accepting new patients

Karyn completed her Medical degree at Deakin University in 2011 after completing a Bachelor degree in Medical Radiation Science in 2004. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has special interest in women's health, paediatrics, palliative care, health education and disease prevention. Karyn has also completed additional specialist training and experience in women's health with the Family Planning Association in Newcastle. She has also completed a Diploma of Child Health with the University of Sydney. Karyn is accredited to offer Mirena (IUD) services.

Karyn is available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and some Saturdays

 

 

Dr Emma Lyons - Not accepting new patients

Emma received her Medical Degree from the University of Newcastle in 2011 and Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2017. Emma enjoys getting to know her patients and their families and she practices patient-centred medicine from young to old, covering both acute and chronic conditions, with a particular interest in women's and children's health.

Emma is available on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and some Saturdays. 

 

 

Dr Sacha Cattani - Not accepting new patients

Sacha completed her Medical degree at the University of Sydney in 2006 and she became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2013. Sacha's practice style is passionate, always caring, interested and patient-centred. She loves all aspects of General Practice Medicine and values the importance of preventative medicine for her patients' ongoing health care.

Sacha is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and some Saturdays

 

 

Dr Oscar Cumming - Not accepting new patients

Oscar completed his Medical degree at the University of New England in 2014 and has received Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Before joining General Practice, Oscar worked as a Paediatric Registrar at Hornsby Hospital where he was responsible for general and emergecy paediatric admissions, special care nursery, obstetric care and teaching of junior doctors and medical students. Oscar enjoys working with patients of all ages and has a keen interest in all areas of General Practice medicine.

Oscar is available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and some Saturdays

 

 

Dr Jacquelyn Pinkstone - Not accepting new patients

Jacquelyn completed her Medical degree at the University of Newcastle (graduating with Distinction) in 2013. Jackie is a Fellow with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She enjoys all aspects of medicine, including the opportunity to provide patient-centred care to patients of all ages. Jacquelyn has a special interest in paediatrics, completing a Diploma in Chid Health through the University of Sydney in 2016. Jacquelyn has also completed additional training in women's health and is accredited to offer Mirena (IUD) services.

Jackie is available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and some Saturdays

 

Dr Renata Fuljahn - Not accepting new patients

After finishing medical school in Brazil, Renata moved to Australia in 2004. Renata is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has been working in General Practice around Lake Macquarie and Newcastle since 2012. Renata is a compassionate, caring and competent GP with a keen interest in her patients' wellbeing and building trusting rapport. She has a special interest in women's health, managing patients with complex conditions and skin problems. 

Renata is available Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and some Saturdays

 

 

Dr Erin Rickard 

Erin completed her medical degree at the University of New England in 2016 after completing a Masters of International Public Health and a Bachelor or Medical Science. Erin is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She has a special interest in preventive health, women's and children's health and indigenous health and she has worked in a variety of medical fields across the Hunter New England Health system

Erin is currently available Thursday, Friday and some Saturdays

 

 

Dr Olivia Brentnall - currently on maternity leave

Olivia studied medicine at the University of Newcastle, finishing in 2016 and is now a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Olivia has a special interest in pregnancy care and child health, having worked as a paediatric registrar in Tamworth throughout 2019. She has also completed the Child Health post-graduate training program through the University of Sydney. She enjoys the variety of General Practice and seeing patients of all ages.

Dr Louise Drinkwater - Not Accepting New Patients

Louise completed her medical degree at the University of Newcastle in 1997 and has worked as a General Practitioner in the Newcastle area for many years. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has a special interest in women's health, aged care, and child and adolescent health.

Louise is available Wednesday, Friday and some Saturdays. Louise is not currently accepting new patients.
