Surgical Procedures

The doctors at Kotara Family Practice are able to perform minor surgical procedures in the clinic for biopsy or excision of suspicious skin lesions. This is done under a local anaesthetic to numb the skin around the lesion so that it can be biopsied or removed with minimal discomfort. The lesion is usually sent to pathology for examination to determine what it is and whether all of it has been removed. Results are usually returned to your GP within a few days.
